The Colour Wheel
The colour wheel is a a circular diagram and tool often used by artist to see the relationships between the colors
and what the different colors will look like when mixed together.
It is made up of three primary colours,
three secondary colours, and six tertiary colours.

Primary, Secondary and Tertiary colours
The primary colours are red, blue and yellow.
These are the basic colours which can not be mixed by any other colours.

The secondary colours, violet, green, and orange are created by mixing two the primary colours together.
Mixing Red with Yellow will produce Orange, mixing Blue with Yellow will produce Green and mixing Red with Blue will produce Violet.

The Tertiary colours Blue-Violet, Green-Blue, Yellow-Green, Orange-Yellow Red-Orange and Violet-Red
are created by combining a primary colour with a secondary colour.
