Texture Gallery - Using Glue/PVA

This texture was created using Glue or PVA, blue acrylic colour, white Acrylic gesso primer and a sheet of acrylic paper.

Glue on paper

Detailed close-up

First, a thick layer of Acrylic Gesso was applied to a sheet of acrylic paper.

Next, the Glue/PVA was applied with a brush in the desired design.

After the glue was dry, a wash of Phthalo blue was painted over the whole surface.

Any excess paint was blotted away with tissue paper before the paint was dry.
Artist Notes:
Drying time for the glue/PVA will vary from manufacturer to manufactures. The thickness of the layers as well as room temperature will also affect the drying time.
