First, a thick layer of Acrylic Gesso was applied to a sheet of acrylic paper and allowed to dry.
Next, a thick layer of white acrylic paint was painted over the gesso, covering the whole surface.
While the white paint were drying, a separate sheet of paper (same size) was prepared
and painted with a thick layer of Deep Purple.
Next, a sheet of cling film was quickly pressed over the painted area while the purple paint was still wet.
The cling film sheet was then lifted up and quickly moved over to the first sheet of paper and pressed over the dry white paint.
(As acrylic paint also act as an adhesive, the cling film will stick to the painting when dry.)
The painting was later varnished for permanent protection.
Artist Notes:
When the cling film is pressed into the wet paint, the cling film sheet can be moved around in different
directions to create a variation of textures and patterns.
