Painting Techniques
An introduction to a selection of painting techniques that can be created with either acrylic, oil or watercolour paint.
Knife Painting
This is a form of Impasto painting which is applied with a painting knife
Sgraffito
Layers of paint is scratched to reveal the surface underneath.
Spattering
A technique where the paint is being sprayed or flicked onto the surface
Stenciling
A masking technique where the paint is applied to those areas which has not been masked away.
