Texture Mediums: Acrylic Texture Paste
Texture paste is a thick water-based paste which can be used to build up heavy layers of texture and create three
dimensional effects.
The paste is ideal for adding texture to your painting and can be applied in many layers and in whatever thickness you desire.
When dry, the surface can be further scratched, cut or scribbled into,
or used for stencilling or cut-out cards to produces a raised surface.
As this is a water-based product, it can be mixed with any water-based paint or diluted with water.
For oils, it should only be used as surface preparation (by creating texture on the canvas before you apply the oil paint)
Water-dispersed pigments can also be added to the texture paste for artists who want to make their own acrylic paint.
The paste dries to a matte finish which can be over painted with acrylic colours or decorated with any paint you like.
The texture paste can also be mixed and used in combination with most painting mediums and materials such as sand and sawdust.
The Texture paste should be applied to a clean and grease free surface.
